General Summary:

 

The Classroom Composition Facilitator reports to the Associate Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction and provides classroom support services as requested.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and consult with building principals and teachers in an attempt to develop classroom composition resolutions at the site.
  2. Serve as a resource for individual teachers working on classroom composition concerns.
  3. Complete all paperwork to process a classroom composition concern.
  4. Meet with the Classroom Composition Committee (could include teacher/principal) representing the classroom needs.
  5. Serve as a resource person to the Classroom Composition Committee.
  6. Serve as a resource person to individual teachers as requested.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  1. Minimum of four years’ successful teaching experience.
  2. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  3. Experience with high needs students in inclusive settings.
  4. Observation skills/background.
