We are looking for passionate teachers looking to have fun this summer while helping our students engage in summer learning!  The elementary summer academy program is centered on academics, station rotations, themed weeks and play. 

Dates and Times:

Student Summer Program: June 18 - August 1, 2024; 8:30am - 2:15pm; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (six (6) weeks, three (3) days per week) 

Teacher work time: 8:00am - 2:30pm; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

No school the week of July 4 (July 1 - July 5, 2024)

Locations:

Blair Elementary School and Traverse Heights Elementary School (up to 6 teachers per site)

Schedule and Pay:

• $30.00 per hour paid via timesheet (time worked in June)
• $33.00 per hour paid via timesheet (time worked in July and August)
• Planning meeting: 10 hours of planning prior to opening the program
• Prep and Records: June 13, 14, 17 (full days) and August 2, 2024 (full days budgeted, if needed)
• July 1 - July 5, 2024 - No School (no pay)
• Records Day - August 2, 2024 (paid up to a full day based on hours worked)

Positions Available:
12 Teachers (GENERAL ED and/or SPECIAL ED)

6 teachers at each location

Required Credential:

Michigan Teaching Certificate - Elementary General Education Teaching Certificate (ZG)
